Introduction

A magical blend of breath-taking scenery, family home comforts and incomparable grandeur combine to make Castle Trinity a luxury homestay you’ll talk about at dinner parties for decades. Wind through the green folds and ancient stone villages of west Yorkshire to find this luxury castle nestled at the end of a private drive bordered by an enchanting wild deer park. The Peak District is also just a short drive away, with 555 miles of glorious countryside to explore. Inside, a palace of gleaming grandeur invites you to dive into the heated indoor pool, sing around the grand piano and slip into one of the opulent bedroom suites.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

The first floor has five opulently designed double bedrooms each with luxurious king-size beds (think golden hues, furs and velvet buttoned headboards as high as the sky), two of which have en suite shower rooms. The first floor also boasts a round shower room built into the castle turret, along with the main family bathroom which flaunts a walk-in steam room and television over the bath for the most luxurious at-home pamper experience. Nestled in the eaves and accessed via one of the bedrooms, a sixth luxurious bedroom is available on prior request.

Outside

Recently hailed Britain’s Best Home by a national television series, this exclusive castle's crowning glory is its 12-acres of stately gardens which include private woodland, manicured lawns, a working water mill, cobbled courtyard, hot tub and lake. There's little more soul-satisfying than strolling the grounds on a balmy evening to enjoy the delicious scents of an English summer. If you can bear to leave the castle, nearby activities include golf, horse riding, tennis and clay pigeon shooting – so sporty folk may want to pack a wax jacket and white polo, or two!

For Relaxation

Plunge into the heated indoor pool at dawn for a few laps and retire poolside with a fluffy robe, glossy magazine and iced coffee. Whether playing boules on the lawn or enjoying a leisurely high tea on the antique mirrored dining table over a game of chess; this heavenly retreat offers recreation of the royal kind. To end the day? Well that’s simple; it’s a star-studded movie night for modern-day families in the sitting room, with its luxurious suede sofas and 3D plasma television, whilst traditionalists will prefer a good old knees-up around the piano and a Scotch by the crackling fire once the children are tucked away in the land of nod.

Practicalities

The kitchen is fully-equipped for your stay, with fan oven, steam oven, dishwasher, American fridge-freezer, washer-dryer, microwave and more. Dogs must stay within the grounds due to wild deer close by. Please note, a groundsman works Tuesday to Saturday but won't disturb your stay. A sixth double bedroom is available on request for an additional £150.

Our Take

Regional Partner Consultant Clare says

Castle Trinity was one of those property visits that will stay with me a while. I knew it was special from the moment I saw the castle turrets through the trees. Strolling around the grounds, waking up in one of the heavenly king-size beds and having a swim at dawn was simply magical.
