Hiraeth | Luxury Country Cottage | Nevern Valley, Pembrokeshire

Guest testimonials

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Hiraeth is truly something special – a little piece of paradise. It is incredibly peaceful, with a beautiful outdoor setting surrounded by tall trees and the relaxing sound of the stream flowing by. It was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. The house itself is very cosy and thoughtfully decorated, making it feel warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We also loved having the cows grazing in the field across the stream – it added so much charm to the experience.

Hiraeth is fabulous. Its location is special, feeling like you have stumbled across a secret valley, and the ability to walk straight from the door onto the national trail is a big plus. The property has been furnished and kitted out to a high standard and we can see that it would be magical at any time of year.

What a fabulous retreat! A little pocket of paradise, away from it all. Beautiful, serene, meditative. Thank you for creating and sharing this place! The perfect place for a family gathering.

We had a wonderful few days exploring the area and made so many memories by having this gorgeous house to come back to each evening. Warm, cosy, and an absolute treat. We plan to return soon!

Like a little piece of heaven. What a beautiful house and the location is stunning. Such a lovely week here. Thank you! We even saw an otter in the river!

Thanks for making it magical for Christmas. What a special place! We loved the river and beautiful scenery. We´ll be back!

We had a wonderful week here experiencing everything nature has to offer, from a family of foxes playing in the field to otters messing about in the river. The riverbank was our centre of activity by day and tranquillity at night with a family gathering around the fire pit something we’ll all never forget. We will definitely be back again!

Hiraeth is more than just a holiday cottage – it´s an experience. For anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature, to find peace and tranquility, and to create memories that will last a lifetime, this is the place. Nestled on the bank of a gently flowing river, the cottage offers a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

On a forested plot in Pembrokeshire’s backcountry, there’s a pair of sister properties with identities of their own; one traditional milk-white cottage, one soot-black gabled bothy.
