A perfect location for a weekend of rest, recharge and connection back to the simple things! As a solo stay I find the environment and proximity to touchpoints around me the safe and beautiful combination I needed! Well done on restoring the chapel back to a place of sanctuary and restoration for us mortals! Very grateful to have experienced the space you have created in one of the hottest weekends of the year! The view whilst being wrapped up in nature is a wonderful combination!
We came here to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and it could not have been a more special fortnight. The view was just mesmerising and we enjoyed some spectacular sunrises, and sunsets. The house was completely wonderful and we felt so comfortable and at home. Loved the huge tub for family bath times and really enjoyed watching the fire from the sofa in the evenings. So well located and we did so much, even if it was hard to drag ourselves away from that view.
I was so lucky to meet the housekeeper on arrival, she was so helpful and told us how magical this home is, and she was correct. I have travelled a lot and have stayed in many different kinds of properties, but I will say Aphrodite has to be top of the list! Not only for how well appointed the entire property is from the kitchen to the bath and bed. The décor is just perfect.
We have had the most wonderful stay at Aphrodite. Such a pity about the weather but we did a lot of exploring along the coast. The attention to detail, decor and character in Aphrodite will be hard to match! The views are spectacular and the welcome hamper was such a nice touch. Pretty as well as spotless which is just such a nice surprise always! Thank you for all the attention to detail, we will most certainly recommend this cottage to friends.
We really liked the property and it felt very comfortable, the fact we could take our dogs along with us was great and the real reason we booked, the views are stunning and the area is very peaceful although strangely the road can be quite busy.
What an absolutely beautiful place it is. I really enjoyed my few days and I was so comfortable. The owners have done an absolutely superb job, thank you very much for a fantastic few days.
It was a perfect location close to the beach and within walking distance to the sea, with spectacular views from the house. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely property.
What an amazing jewel you have made of this chapel. We loved the little details and the lovely warm atmosphere. Calming down, feeling good, and relaxing all came very easily here in this special place. We and our two dogs loved exploring Cornwall. The people, nature walks, and the coastline was all perfect. Hopefully, we have the chance to come back soon. Thank you for the great experience.
Words are not enough! Aphrodite is such a gem. The countryside and nature around it are beautiful and there was so much to explore, or just to relax. What a wonderful holiday. Thank you all at Unique Homestays.
Thank you for this lovely experience. This is one of the most beautiful houses we have ever seen. The decor and restoration are fabulous. Thank you Unique Homestays for arranging everything so well and for the warm welcome.
Discovering Aphrodite is like walking around a fairytale book, with something to uncover in every corner. Incredibly beautiful and has a real wow factor. We enjoyed the views and watching the sunset every evening. The location is such a lovely area. Thank you Unique Homestays.
What a place! Every detail is just perfect and those views are magical. Many evenings were spent by the fire watching the sunset. We loved exploring the stunning coastline, topped off with a wonderful evening at the Rocket Store. We would highly recommend a visit. Thank you for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
We spent almost a week in this magical place. We find the possibility of staying in such a unique place truly special. I mean, how many of us have ever lived in a chapel? Its cosiness helps us survive heavy winds and rain. The views are absolutely stunning so we could stay cosy and enjoy the experience.
What an idyllic property, a truly picturesque and peaceful place to spend our mini-moon. We spent many nights sheltered from the wind and rain in front of the log burner and enjoyed the luxury bathtub with its convenient champagne ice bucket. The local area has some lovely places, The Boscastle Farmshop is a must, both for local produce and the cafe. The Napolean Inn has a fantastic atmosphere and great food. Overall we had a fantastic week and would not change a thing. We look forward to returning in the future.
We had a lovely stay at Aphrodite. The property is amazing, totally unique and very special. We had some very relaxing and comfortable evenings in front of the log burner and some great days out exploring Tintagel, Port Isaac and Fowey, plus some lovely beach days at Polzeath and Polkerris. All in all, a fantastic break and we´re sorry to be going home. Thank you.
Aphrodite is gorgeous! We booked Aphrodite for a birthday and it turned out to be more special than we could have ever imagined. Beautifully decorated, stunning views, and a lovely summerhouse to sit and snooze in! All the extras were of fabulous quality, nothing could have been better. We sat many nights just watching the sunset, which was magical each time. Thanks for making it so great!
A wonderful Unique Homestay accompanied by fabulous weather. This converted chapel is a real treasure with hidden delights. This has been a memory that we will both treasure forever for its peace and serenity.
What a wonderful week we´ve had! An absolute gem of a place, one couldn´t have asked for more! Waking up every morning to that view lifts the spirits... how we will miss it! Thank you again!
Aphrodite really was the perfect place to celebrate a 50th birthday! Thank you so much for the welcome goodies including bubbles. We really enjoyed exploring the coastal path and would like to say a big thank you to everyone, especially the housekeeper, for all your help.
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to your team for making it so effortless to stay at Aphrodite. We had a fabulous time in this lovely, spacious property in a beautiful location. It was truly relaxing. Just what we needed after the last year! We will be back!
We very much enjoyed every moment of our stay at Aphrodite and were blown away by its beauty, elegance, charm and character. From taking hot baths by candlelight to enjoying drinks by the crackling fire, we concluded our stay feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Although the weather was mostly rainy, we were lucky to experience some periods of sunshine, during which we enjoyed picturesque walks along the coast. We sincerely look forward to our next stay.
What a place! After all the strangeness of the last few months, Aphrodite has felt like an oasis. The view, the building itself and the walks straight from the front door are all fabulous. We feel very lucky to have been able to stay here.
We had such a lovely time here. Aphrodite is such a unique and characterful property, converted and decorated so beautifully and sensitively. We especially loved the living room and watching the changing colours of the sunset to the crackling and purring accompaniment of the fire. Spring is the perfect time to visit - long walks on coastal routes by day, and returning to the welcome embrace of Aphrodite. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.
We absolutely loved our stay in Aphrodite and can´t wait to go there again, as well as explore more of your properties. Everyone we spoke to over the phone from Unique Homestays has been charming, helpful and a joy to deal with. We have already recommended Unique Homestays to all our friends and have told them all about our memorable, happy stay in Aphrodite!

“Aphrodite has a very special place in our hearts; especially beautiful on a summer´s evening when the sun pours in through the arched windows and fills the space with a golden, celestial light and magnificent coastal views. This really is a magical part of Cornwall.”
For a while we had been hunting for a 'home with a view' somewhere tranquil and calm with that something extra special. Before we had even stepped foot inside the property, the sea views that greeted us from the winding track down the hill were impressive and had us immediately captivated. Inside, and spread over five floors, the space and sea views really captured our imagination.
We went from the ground floor down to the bathroom then scrambled right up to the crow's nest mezzanine, struck by the sitting room views half-way. We envisaged where we'd place the bed immediately, rearranging the house in our heads, and we left after that first visit keeping everything crossed that it would be ours.
There is a wonderful sense of calm that falls over you when you visit and we wanted this to be reflected within the interior style, so we used a cool palette of pastel colours to decorate. We have thoroughly enjoyed making the property our own; giving pre-loved furniture finds a new home, looking out for quirky pieces that reflect the history of the building and putting on our own take on this 'heavenly' home.
