Formerly a water bailiff’s home, this award-winning copper-clad pad is the ultimate waterside lookout, welding colonial-style interiors with the latest eco-technology to create a truly unique luxury self-catering hideaway.


Sprawling over three spacious floors, this luxury retreat is the ultimate scenic lookout; where the sublime panoramic views are exclusively yours. Spend mornings through to evenings in content marooned bliss with only calls of the reservoir wildlife to disturb. Chameleon copper clads the angular external walls of the upper level, whilst below, traditional Cornish stone retains the history of this unique waterside home near Penzance in Cornwall. Encased in a wraparound deck and glinting in the reservoir’s reflecting light, this luxury self-catering home mirrors the style of a Californian lakehouse.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Perfect for families, this waterside haven flaunts three zip-and-link bedrooms. The lower deck comprises two bedrooms (the master with en suite shower and dressing area) each with private sun decks inviting guests outside to indulge in undisturbed views of the reservoir. The middle deck features the third bedroom and family bathroom complete with large shower enclosure and double-ended egg-shaped bath.


Outside, landscaped lawns enclose Nevada and seamlessly spill into the reservoir below. The secret garden gate opens out onto the waterside pathway where couples can enjoy romantic moonlit walks. Fisherfolk can hire a boat and enjoy the clear waters of the Drift Reservoir stocked with Rainbow and Blue Trout. Twitchers will be spoilt for choice, spotting herons, swans, geese and resident Muscovy duck enjoying the lake all from the vantage point of the private south-west deck. 

For Relaxation

With the reservoir as the backdrop and sunsets melting into the waters below, Nevada is an idyllically positioned haven perfect for those wanting to experience ultimate relaxation. If you can tear yourself away from your luxury island, explore Cornwall's charming west coast by moseying around the quintessential harbour town of Mousehole, diving into the Art Deco pool at Penzance or exploring the landmark of St Michael's Mount.  


The driveway provides parking for three cars. There is a washer-dryer, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. Please visit the fisherman’s timber hut for a permit should you wish to use the reservoir pathway, or fish. Please note, no dogs are permitted on the reservoir pathway.

The Tolcarne Inn This former historic maritime pub nestled in Newlyn Harbour has been converted into a dog-friendly gourmet seafood restaurant, where a chalkboard menu evolves to reflect seasonal abundance. St Michael's Mount One of Britain’s smallest secret isles off the Cornish Coast, St Michael’s Mount is 500 metres adrift from the mainland. Explore the gardens through flower-lined pathways; discover the spirit of island life and unearth the history and legends of the medieval castle. Cross by causeway at low tide or hop aboard the frequent ferry boats.

Jubilee Outdoor Bathing Pool Swim safely and bathe in Cornwall’s fresh sea waters at this open air lido, with an art-deco theme and 1930’s architecture this sea pool is certainly a showstopper. There’s an abundance of great eateries nearby which come highly recommended by the owners; The Tolcarne Inn is a gourmet seafood restaurant serving up fresh catches of the day and local produce in warm and welcoming surroundings, it's dog-friendly too! Open November to March, Mackerel Skies in Penzance boasts al fresco dining, fine wines and tapas fish dishes.
