French doors lead onto an enclosed suntrap patio, offering views across rolling Cornish countryside towards the coast. A tranquil escape with nothing to disturb but free range chickens clucking in the adjoining fields, spend balmy summer evenings lounging under the pergola. From the owner

“I designed Sundance for those looking for a luxury nomadic experience on the north Cornwall coast. With its quirky interiors and mod cons, our unique wagon has been transformed into a deceivingly spacious hideaway with personality aplenty.”

From the owner

I discovered Sundance down a farm track years ago and was instantly intrigued. I went on to discover that the owner had hand built it himself, but never used it! The thought of it sat desolate not being used was heart-breaking, so I made him an offer and thankfully, he accepted!

What sparked my imagination for this project were memories of building camps and dens along with my brother and sister on our farm as children. We would spend hours outdoors, gathering salvaged items and pieces of nature to create masterpiece shelters which would make play dens all summer long.

I worked closely with a designer and team of local craftsmen to carefully transform the old wagon into a stylish cottage-style hideaway that would provide unique self-catering accommodation with comfort and all the mod cons. This involved adding a large extension for a double bedroom, luxury walk-in shower/bathroom and a utility area.

We then built on the enclosed glass veranda which provides indoor-outdoor living; a lovely light-filled space to simply relax and enjoy the country surroundings and take in the views of the wildlife pond.

Sundance makes a great base from which to explore all that Cornwall has to offer. Head out on foot to discover the beautiful countryside, woodland and renowned sandy beaches of Newquay, Lusty Glaze, Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth.

WOW! What a week. When we stumbled across Sundance online a year ago, we knew it would be the perfect place to decompress after our wedding; and it did not disappoint! You have literally thought of everything, we are ready to move in! Thank you so much.

We have had a lovely stay here at Sundance. It is in a great location for exploring Cornwall - Crantock Bay is absolutely gorgeous for a beach day and Padstow is a lovely little harbour town. You must do dinner at Emily Scott´s in Watergate Bay with incredible sunsets! Thank you for a lovely stay in such a unique and cosy place. We would love to return on day.

What a lovely stay we´ve had here at Sundance. It´s a fantastic base for exploring the coast, and such a lovely cosy place to come back to at the end of the day or when the weather had turned. Mother Ivy´s Bay was our favourite beach to visit; gorgeous. We would love to come back someday.

What can we say, other than what a gem! We were recommended to you by a friend, and Sundance is a truly unique place to stay. If you´re looking for a peaceful, quiet stay, then this is definitely the place for you. It´s in such a great location for visiting many of Cornwall´s delights and we were incredibly lucky with the weather! Huge thanks to the team and the homeowner for a superb break.

We could not imagine a more perfect stay to ring in the lockdown restrictions easing. The decor is beautiful and what an excellent location too! We can´t wait to visit Sundance again.

Thank you so much for a beautiful stay in Sundance. We had everything we needed and more! The little luxuries were a lovely touch and the shower is amazing. We loved escaping the big smoke after a year of lockdown and getting some much needed rest and relaxation.

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful shepherd´s hut. It provided peace and tranquillity in a perfect location. We were made to feel so welcome and we loved the Christmas tree and the lights! Thank you again.

Thank you for a wonderful few days of escape in such a beautiful, tranquil and unique spot. It is just perfect here; you´ve thought of everything, and more. We are leaving feeling so inspired to create something even a little bit like this at home during lockdown #2. Love and so many thanks again.

What a wonderful little hideaway. We have had such a lovely and relaxing break. The housekeeper was so helpful and left goodies for both us and the dogs. We have stayed in a lot of your properties, but this one has been simply the best. The location, style, design, and set up, everything has been thought of. Thank you for a very special break, you have created an idyllic haven here.

I wanted to let you know that we have had the most amazing week at Sundance. We just didn´t want to leave. We´ve been so inspired that on a rainy day this week we went to Lostwithiel and raided the antiques centre! I could go on and on about everything we love; top of the list is the shower which we plan to copy, we´ve taken lots of pics! You have created something beautiful and truly unique, thank you. We will be back!

We could not have asked for a more perfect escape from a very mad world at the moment. Sundance is an absolutely beautiful spot, offering peace and quiet and a chance to reconnect with nature. We absolutely LOVE the styling and space: no details were missed. The care package kept for us at the start of our trip was so kind and just what we needed. Our Cavapoo - Kiwi - had a blast too! She thought the dog biscuits were delicious. Thanks for a fantastic week, we will be recommending to all our friends.

Even after two weeks we still couldn´t get enough of the beautiful, luxurious Sundance! Everything has been said before, but thank you very much for all those little touches. This truly felt like home for our vacation. Thank you so much!

What an amazing location for our honeymoon! We have thoroughly enjoyed Sundance and all that Cornwall has to offer. Would highly recommend the Camel Trail to Padstow, Perranporth and Mawgan Porth. We will be definitely be returning to Sundance!

What a wonderful week we have had at Sundance! Such a relaxing place to stay with all the amenities you need. We visited Daymer Bay as it had been recommended to us, and it was amazing. This is now one of our favourite beaches. This has been one of the best places we have ever stayed in.

We had a lovely stay, the cottage was just perfect! We would like to say thank you to the owner who made the place so welcoming and cosy and provided an array of doggy things for our mutts. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves too and when we got home we bought the same dog beds as they seemed to like them so much.

Thank you so much for a fabulous stay. We absolutely adore Sundance, everything about it is really quirky. Our favourite bit about our stay here was enjoying sitting on the deck with a glass of red wine, idyllic! We will definitely visit again.

Wow! We could not have wished for a more unique, beautiful and perfect place to stay. Sundance did not disappoint and we feel lucky to have called it ´home´ for the last week. The attention to detail and the welcome treats make it even more special, so thank you. We are sad to be leaving and hope to return one day. The perfect place to retreat back to after a busy day exploring the beautiful Cornish coast.

What a fantastic place to spend a weekend. Beautifully finished with amazing attention to detail. We left feeling refreshed and relaxed, not to mention, now desperate to buy a shepherds hut! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Had a rootin´-tootin´ wonderful stay at Sundance. This was the perfect retreat for our honeymoon with every detail to make our stay magical! We will never forget this lovely, unique place and the memories you helped us create.

What an amazing little place Sundance is. We have had a fabulous stay. We have spent the weekend seeing the sites around this perfect location, most of all going coasteering with Vertical Descents around the Cornish cliffs. What a great job you have done making it feel so cosy and comfortable here. Thank you so much for this unique homestay.

What a lovely little wagon. All three of us had the most relaxing time here and we loved the location, close to all the lovely beaches. Holywell and Crantock were our favourites and the dog loved them too. Thank you for supplying the gluten free goodies for our arrival. They were fab!

We had a truly amazing time here. The property is cosy and well appointed and is in an ideal location to explore the local beaches. Our favourites being Daymer Bay, Crantock and Constantine which are all dog friendly!

What an amazing week we had and we have already been recommending this wee place to our friends and family. We loved everything about it. Perfect for our mini-moon! Loved Padstow, St Ives and the cutest ever coffee shop Rock Pool in Mousehole. Thank you and can´t wait to come back

Well, what can we say, absolutely fabulous! We loved this stay so much. Loved the theme and all the little touches from the tulips to the cosy blankets. Elsie-May and Eric, the dogs loved it as much as their humans did. Thank you, keep doing what you´re doing. You do it so well.

What a great place to stay! Thank you for the welcome pack and flowers. Sundance is a stunning home, the decor is lovely and everything is so comfortable. We all had a great time discovering the beaches and the weather was a bonus! Once the sun went down the fire kept us lovely and warm. Thank you.

A great week spent at Sundance. The dogs Moo and Bash were delighted with their welcome treats. The whole place just felt cosy from the start. We loved all the little details and had a fantastic time despite the weather. The log burner was put to great use. Thank you for a fabulous holiday.

To be honest when we were looking to book we had been hoping for a sea view property but nothing was available for the dates we would be in the UK. Of the other properties in Cornwall , Sundance appealed to us because of that glorious sunroom. It was a beautiful place to call home for a short time. Even with dull or wet days, the enclosed room with cosy blankets, beautiful gardens and views were perfect for relaxing and reading our books while listening to the sonos system.

What a wonderful week we have had! We could not have asked for better weather. Beautiful cottage and it is very well located to see all the delights of Cornwall. Thanks for a truly memorable holiday.
