Reached by a private footbridge on the edge of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, The Outpost is a former servicemen's convalescence lodge that has been transformed into a luxury self-catering retreat. Within the original larch timber construction, interiors nod to the American West, with layered textiles, cowboy artwork, and antique wooden furniture. Here, beneath some of Britain's darkest skies, the frontier-style cabin welcomes couples to reconnect over hot tub dips to a soundtrack of Conwy’s Afon Roe.
