Guest testimonials

What a wonderful stay in your beautiful house, Sienna. Looking out of every window to be surrounded by green and hear the beautiful birdsong with water rushing by in the stream really makes your shoulders drop and stress of everyday life fade away. You´ve thought of everything in this very well equipped house, even down to yoga mats which was a treat doing a daily routine with the most beautiful view! We loved our time visiting Kenmore, Derrynare beach, eating in The Boathouse and seeing the Killarney rally go past as we walked to Torc waterfall and Muckross house.

Thank you so much for making our birthday weekend one to remember! We truly felt at home away from home here in Sienna. You have thought of everything – all we could have wished for to enjoy a comfortable stay – wood for the stove, fresh milk and bread, all the mod cons in the kitchen, and extra towels to enjoy the jacuzzi – we were spoilt! You have a beautiful home here in Kenmare, in such a wonderful location. The views were breathtaking from dusk to dawn.

Thank you for sharing your small piece of heaven with us. The most scenic, peaceful and relaxing cottage, keeping us cosy and warm over some chilly mornings. We absolutely loved having a Christmas tree and all the other festive decorations to feel as if we were in our own home! Kenmare has been a particular highlight with all the quintessentially quaint town shops and pubs. Our favourite meal was at No. 35 which was a cosy family-run restaurant on one of the main streets.

Thank you for such an amazing stay. Really recharged the batteries but also had a lot of fun in Kenmare! It´s incredibly hard to put into words the uniquely calm serenity we have felt at this home. We haven´t wanted for anything. A few recommendations: Parknasilla New Years Day recovery spa, wild swim and sunset; Lime Tree + Lagom in Kenmare for a lovely dinner; Derrynane Beach - "the long beach" - insane on a sunny day; Sausages from Rogers Butchers in town; Crowleys Bar - amazing staff! We can´t wait to return.

Thank you for four days of bliss in the loveliest home. The roar of the stream, the morning light, the rain on the roof, ´the view, the view, the view´. We will always remember and hope to return some day.

We´ve had a wonderful time on our first visit to Ireland – why didn´t we come before!? A great house and garden to relax in and a perfect spot to explore Kerry from. The weather has been very kind to us, friends said "don´t bother with sun cream" – so glad we did! Eating out in Kenmare has been a pleasure, especially No. 35 and the Rookery Lane was great for brunch and breakfast. The four of us have really enjoyed ourselves and as others have said - would love to come back

What a wonderful stay. Sienna is a stunning home with spectacular views and such a good base to explore the Ring of Kerry from. Our stay was a last-minute trip but it´s been unforgettable, we´ve loved every second of it. Thank you to the housekeeper for the warm welcome and all the help. We´d love to come back again and do a sea safari since the weather wasn´t on our side. This isn´t goodbye but see you again soon.

We had the most nice time at Sienna! This is the dream home! We love waking up to the sound of water flowing, cows mooing and birds chirping. The fresh smells of the lawn, flowers, clear air and the most gorgeous views! The boys loved playing football on the lawn and roasting marshmallows in the evening. They even went for a cold dip everyday! It’s simply heaven here! We´re sad to be leaving! 4-nights is too short; we will stay for longer next time!

Thank you so much for the most amazing stay in your wonderful home. The perfect place to escape, switch off from day to day life and take in the beauty of nature! Snow falling as we enjoyed the hot tub is a memory we will treasure for a long time! And for any future guests, we would highly recommend Sneem Seaweed Baths - a great experience! We will definitely be back to this beautiful part of the world.

We arrived at this amazing house in blissful seclusion to celebrate a birthday and also to have a well-deserved holiday. We enjoyed the hot tub on arrival and "spa days" in the beautiful bathrooms. We ate in The Boathouse, which was amazing for food and scenery, and enjoyed shopping in Kenmare. The housekeeper was a very kind and professional host who answered any queries immediately. The views are incredibly beautiful and we can´t wait to return.

We have enjoyed a very relaxing time in this lovely home. This area is beautiful in sun and even in misty rain. The cows and deer behind the garden are a nice addition! We hope to return.

We have not been in this area since the 1980s when we came with our children. Returning again has not only brought back memories but reminded us of what a beautiful part of the world it is. Roads with thick green moss pass in the middle, hedgerows alive with native flowers, scenery which stuns around every bend of the roads. To stay in such a beautiful house has added to an amazing and memorable week. The presentation was impeccable; everything worked, every detail has been thought about.

We have had such a wonderful week in this lovely house. It has been really relaxing. We have not been in this part of the world for 35 years since our children were small! We wanted to say a special thank you for preparing the house so beautifully. Everything was perfect which added to the enjoyment of being here, with many thanks for all you did.

We arrived at this amazing house and enjoyed the hot tub on arrival and "spa days" in the beautiful bathrooms. We ate in the Boat House which was amazing, the food and scenery! We enjoyed the shopping in Kenmare. Lorraine was a very kind and professional host who answered any questions immediately. The views are indescribably beautiful and we cant wait to return.

Such a beautiful house - thank you for putting so much thought into making it so welcoming, and to Lorraine for all her help, as well as the warm welcome. We enjoyed wonderful meals in Mulcahy´s and The Boathouse Bistro, would definitely recommend! We are really looking forward to visiting again.

We´ve had a lovely stay - beautiful house and what a garden to explore! We enjoyed exploring the local area too with day trips away and close to home - Templenoe Pier was a favourite. Thanks so much to Lorraine for making our stay so comfortable.

Everything and more has been thought about at this house to make one feel at home, pure perfection! The area is amazing for walks, Kerry Cliffs are a must visit. Lots of lovely restaurants and local entertainment.

We arrived for my birthday to a slice of Heaven. I love this place so much; the interior, the beautiful smells, the views, the high quality of absolutely everything. We loved doing a little cold plunge in the stream followed by a bathe in the hot tub. The surroundings of this home are magical. We have just had the most glorious, unforgettable trip as a family of three and we want to say thank you so much for creating such a welcoming, beautiful home for us to stay in.

Glorious arrival to a frozen January week of ice and snow, with every tree white with frost. It was truly beautiful. From one storm (Isha to Jocelyn) to another, we had wild winds, saw huge waves and had three excellent bike rides into the mountains behind the house when the weather allowed. We also snuck in an exhilarating swim at Derrymare pier! Through all this, thank you for a warm, perfect place to stay. A joy to come home at the end of a day out.

Sienna is wonderful. We immediately went into relaxation mode when we walked into the kitchen and saw the welcome hamper. We appreciated all the areas to lounge and hang out. It´s such a beautiful space, we wish we could have stayed longer.

There are not sufficient superlatives to do this home and its surroundings justice! We have had a fantastic holiday. Everything has been spectacular, despite the patchy weather. We really wish we could stay longer.

Kerry is good for the soul and Sienna is a wonderful spot from which you can set forth and explore all of its treasures. Thank you for letting us stay. We hope to be back again for more exploring soon.

Beautiful house! Beautiful setting! Beautiful weather! Our 3 generation family travelled here from the UK and it was an idyllic base to explore the storming countryside of County Cork and Kerry. I have spent many happy holidays in the two counties with my parents visiting our many aunts, uncles and extended family. To return to where my parents were born and lived made it a very special time to then share this glorious land with a new generation of my family.

We´ve had a wonderful holiday here- thank you so much for your care and attention to detail. Our first visit to Ireland- but it will not be our last! We can´t wait to return.

What a beautiful mystical time of the year to visit the Kingdom of Kerry. As a Corkonian who has lived abroad for many years, I have been blown away. The rain added to the charm! The house is just perfect; homely, incredibly comfortable, warm and spotless. We loved lying in those luxurious beds listening to the soft rain on the skylights. Thank you.
