Guest testimonials
We absolutely loved Aurora. The location, the quality of the house, the attention to detail, the great shower pressure, very comfortable furniture and bedding, as well as the hot tub. Everything was absolutely perfect. The little welcome pack was much appreciated and even better that everything was produced in Cornwall.
Stunning property, beautiful décor and the view was out of this world! The delicious welcome hamper was a wonderful surprise. Thank you for such a memorable stay, we had a wonderful time.
Privacy, ocean view and direct access to the beach below, not to mention the hot tub with incredible ocean views. The property and it´s facilities are amazing. Thank you very much!
Aurora is a beautiful property, and in a stunning location; you really do feel like you´re watching the world go by. We enjoyed staying there immensely and can´t wait to return one day soon.
We have spent unforgettable days at Aurora. We have enjoyed the tranquility and the secluded and remote location. Aurora is not only beautifully situated it is also furnished and decorated with love. I fell in love again with England and especially with the south coast.

Introduction
High on a cliff with the ebbing and flowing sands of Whitsand Bay stretching out beneath the tides, Aurora is akin to sitting in a ship captain’s chair; uninterrupted views of the waves, sun radiant on the water like a golden pathway to the horizon ahead. Whether days on the Cornwall coast are spent soaking up the sun or with wind tangling hair on the South West Coast Path, rest is guaranteed at this luxury self-catering cabin.
Inside
A pared-back, white-washed interior adorned with simple coastal décor allows the panoramic sea views that flood in from the triple-aspect windows to take centre stage, while the decking doors, when flung open, create seamless inside-outside living on balmy summer afternoons. Wake to a flamingo pink sky from the king-size bed, brew rich coffee whilst mist swirls across the view and curl up by the fire as salty storms whip the clapperboard façade.
Outside
Fierce community abounds across Whitsand Bay and the Rame Peninsula; a wander through the twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, hopping from inn to inn, is sure to reward in rosy cheeks and friends made for life. Outside the cabin, the coast path traverses sweeping cliffs, dipping down to hidden coves where there’s only the seals for company. As the sun makes way for the moon, sink into the hot tub, chinking glasses to salute the day.
There is one double bedroom with king-size bed along with a contemporary shower room with rainfall shower.

- PracticalitiesParking is available on a first-come, first-served basis along the main coastal road that winds along the cliffside. There’s also a long-stay parking option a little further away if you prefer. The path down to the cabin is quite steep — an adventure in itself! It isn’t lit at night and can get slippery when wet, so we recommend wearing shoes with good grip and perhaps bringing a torch. Backpacks are easier to manage than suitcases on the path. Please note, because of the nature of the trail, it isn’t suitable for those with limited mobility, so take care as you make your way down. Inside, the open-plan kitchen has everything you need: an electric oven, hob, fridge with freezer drawer and dishwasher. In the garden, you’ll find an external utility shed with a washing machine and tumble dryer for your convenience

Whitsand Bay
Famed as Cornwall´s long lost, forgotten corner, Whitsand Bay and the Rame Peninsula are the epitome of coastal living; long stretches of golden sand, pumping sets of reliable surf and fiery sunsets plunging into the uninterrupted horizon.

Getting there
- On the map Aurora is situated on the top of Freathy cliff on Whitsand Bay, South East Cornwall.
- By air Newquay Airport is an hour from Aurora, whilst Exeter Airport is approximately 90 minutes away.
- By car From London, take the M4 toward Bath, take M5 South and A30 to Cornwall and follow the directions provided to the property.
- By train The nearest train station is Bodmin, 30 minutes drive away, or Plymouth which is around 35 minutes away.

“The first time I wound my way down the coastal pathway to Aurora, I was captivated by the setting.”
There is so much that we love about Aurora. The mesmeric views from the decking, its authentic footprint on the Whitsand cliffs and, of course, the way Mother Nature showcases herself in all her forms all around.
Aurora is simply a haven for getting away from it all. In the winter, our family love to watch the winter weather rage across the horizon in front of the woodburner, just as much as balmy summer breaks with sand between our toes and salt-thick hair.
Of course, we spend many nights in the hot tub - the only light comes over the Rame Peninsula from Plymouth, and so the skies are pretty magical at night.
We hope that you find peace and rest at our clifftop cabin.
