We have loved our stay at Juneberry. A truly delightful property; secluded, cosy, peaceful and tranquil. We have appreciated all the extra little touches plus the very generous hamper – thank you. We have enjoyed walking every day – many walks directly from the property, which has been an absolute joy in this beautiful part of the country. We return home refreshed, relaxed and revived.
Thank you for allowing me to stay in your wonderful cottage. I felt at home as soon as I arrived and it has been a wonderful base to explore all that Cornwall has to offer. After a busy day out, it was wonderful to be able to light the fire and snuggle up on your extremely comfortable couch, eating a home-cooked meal. Thank you also for the thoughtful hamper of Cornish products and the fresh flowers. I will remember my stay here with great pleasure in the years to come.
It was an excellent property, well looked after, and had everything we needed and more. Perfect location.
Thank you so much for this incredible place, we couldn´t have wished for more! We are leaving feeling refreshed and restored and have loved every moment of our stay. You have created a beautiful hideaway and we have felt very looked after. There is nothing like having breakfast out in the morning sun, listening to birds sing, and catching glimpses of the hill across the way, and then finishing the day in the cosy bath and ending up in such a comfy bed (only to wake up again to a stunning view through the leaves!) A true haven. Thank you.
Thank you for a lovely stay at your brilliant cabin. Juneberry is beautifully decorated and for a small kitchen, fantastically well equipped! We have had a wonderful stay and along with our dog Pipper, have really enjoyed the local beaches which are stunning! Much different coastline to where we come from in Dorset - the pure sand beaches are glorious. Thank you also for the great welcome hamper. Such a peaceful & delightful breakaway for my birthday. Thank you!
We absolutely adored our time at Juneberry, it is such a beautiful haven tucked into the landscape. So peaceful and private with footpaths from the door. Thank you so much.
We had a wonderful time and would love to stay at Juneberry again! Thank you for everything, we really appreciate it. The service Unique Homestays provided and the property were both excellent.
Sympathetically designed and built, we found Juneberry to be just what we wanted and needed. Very peaceful and ideally located. Thank you for such a lovely and enjoyable stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Juneberry which is why we extended one more night. The owners are to be commended on how they have developed the property. It is obvious a lot of thought has been put into every feature. The booking and check-in process went well and your team did a good job assisting us. The welcome hamper was much appreciated. The heating was very effective, the bathroom and kitchen facilities worked well. We would happily return to the property next time we go to Cornwall.
What a wonderful few days we´ve spent in this lovely cabin. We wanted for nothing! This is exactly how we imagined spending our honeymoon; us, the dog and plenty of walks. Thank you again for a brilliant stay, I´m sure we´ll be back on anniversaries!
Remote, affordable, beautiful surroundings. We adored every moment and will certainly be back. Nothing could have made it any better. An exemplary home in a gorgeous location; absolutely wonderful property and owners!
Juneberry is a stunning property surrounded by trees and the sounds of birds; it is the perfect place to relax and get away from the stresses of day-to-day life. The bedroom has a stunningly unique design, allowing you to lie in bed with a cup of tea and immerse yourself in nature. The owners are a joy and are happy to meet you upon arrival or allow you privacy to enjoy the property in peace. I just loved to practice yoga on the decking and the beach is just a 25-minute walk away! Highly recommended!
Juneberry is warm, friendly and perfect for us and our dog. We loved the fact we could walk out in the morning and not return until evening. The local walks and scenery are fantastic and varied. We arrived to a really brilliant hamper of food, of which we ate everything! There was no skimping on thoughtful touches like logs for the fire. The best place we have stayed!
Juneberry is absolutely beautiful! All you can hear is the birds singing; it´s so peaceful and relaxing. The owners have thought of everything here, it´s cosy, warm, and perfect for getting away from it all! You can walk to beautiful Holywell Bay beach in under half an hour, and the lovely village of Cubert is just 5-minutes away. If you´re looking for relaxation, Juneberry is certainly one to consider!
Within the first 10 minutes of arriving at Juneberry, we felt at home. The owners have created a beautiful and inviting space. We came with hopes of celebrating our 5th anniversary with some small luxury; this weekend far exceeded our expectations and allowed for some much-needed relaxation and rejuvenation. We particularly enjoyed sitting by the fire with some lovely local wine and exploring the seaside towns. Juneberry makes for a very relaxing winter getaway and we look forward to experiencing it in the summer!
Juneberry is an amazing, secluded property for the first week of our honeymoon. After planning our wedding during the pandemic, we needed to truly switch off and Juneberry was the perfect location for this. The property facilities are amazing and the nearby beaches are beyond beautiful. The owners have created a wonderful property and we will be highly recommending Juneberry, a huge thank you for everything!
Juneberry is an exceptional home, from the second we arrived, we knew it was going to be exceptional. Such a stunning, interesting cabin, Juneberry is warm and cosy, private and peaceful and in such a wonderful location! Easy walking distance to lovely beaches and woodland paths. It was lovely to meet the owner and we were given a gorgeous ‘welcome trug’. I will always remember my evening Pilates sessions on the verandah amongst the trees. We cannot recommend Juneberry highly enough for those looking for a rustic-chic getaway. Thank you for creating such a beautiful cabin!
The property looked beautiful in the pictures and was even more spectacular when we arrived! Juneberry is private with beautiful surroundings, while being close enough to all the sights and attractions this part of Cornwall has to offer. The owners are lovely and very helpful, plus the welcome hamper and Christmas decorations they provided were a truly lovely surprise. Juneberry is the absolute dream couples retreat.
Thank you so much for a wonderful week, we have had an amazing time staying at Juneberry. Even though the weather was stormy, we still enjoyed exploring the local area, getting soaked and then cosying up by the fire. However, no one enjoyed the woodburner more than our whippet! A beautiful cabin in the most outstanding location. Thank you for the experience.
Thank you so much for everything, we´ve had a lovely long weekend here at Juneberry. Despite storm Dennis paying us a visit, this has been the perfect hideaway to cosy up by the fire!
We spent an enchanting week that flew by gently like the leaves in autumn. The rain of the first days gave way to sunshine and beautiful clouds that painted the sky like a Monet. Such a romantic week in this special place. Juneberry is a nest in the middle of the countryside, furnished with care and its spaces managed in an elegant way. Everything was perfect. Thank you for making our stay unforgettable and we hope to come back soon.
We have had the most amazing and relaxing time whilst staying at your beautiful cabin. This was our first holiday together in four years and it couldn´t have been more perfect! We left feeling relaxed, closer than ever and with a plan to re-decorate our home all inspired by your beautiful place. We cannot thank you enough and we will definitely be back!
Thank you for a wonderful stay. Your cabin and the surrounding area is so beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed many long walks before sleeping like babies in the incredibly comfy bed. We loved the indoor fireplace and appreciated the practicality of everything throughout!
We enjoyed our stay at Juneberry very much. The cabin is lovely it provided just the right level of quirkiness, comfort and space for our taste. The cabin is secluded and private with lovely walks straight from the door into the surrounding countryside and to the beaches. We were pleasantly surprised by the contents of the welcome hamper and liked that there was enough kindling and logs provided for the whole stay! Well done for providing such a lovely place for others to enjoy.

Introduction
Once the home of a farmer, now a luxury coastal cabin, this rural retreat on the outskirts of Cubert village is just the trick for those looking to immerse in Cornwall's signature country-coastal air. There's a yoga deck, outdoor shower and not a soul to disturb but the resident wildlife; hoo-ing owls and hares call this wilderness home. In summer, there's all to play for outdoors, from the iconic surf at Holywell Bay to its Poldark-famous scenery. Come winter, this woodland homestead is the perfect place to drop off the radar - wake up to rain falling on the tin roof and spend evenings by the fire pit.
Inside
With French doors that open to the garden, taking in far-reaching views over the biodiverse dune and heathland that makes up Perran Common, the bedroom at Juneberry is an artfully composed space with a minimalist design ethos that's softened by rich textures. Deep teal walls, herringbone tiles, and touches of copper create a cocoon of comfort, where long lie-ins sipping coffee beneath the weight of the duvet are second only to hot rainfall showers. Nature-infused interiors mimic intentional indoor-outdoor blueprints, making this cabin the poster child for bespoke living in the coastal wild.
Outside
Planted with happy pollinators in mind, Juneberry’s garden is secluded and peaceful. With two lawns to stretch out on, a yoga deck positioned perfectly for morning sun salutations, and organic herbs that add earthy flare to the summer salads, to spend time at Juneberry is to welcome the good life. In nearby Cubert, stop by The Bakers Dozen for flapjacks and bottles of rhubarb and vanilla fizz, then head to the beach (just a 30-minute walk away) for a post-swim picnic. At nightfall, toast marshmallows on the fire pit and spot shooting stars among the Milky Way that permeates Cornwall's dark skies.
The bedroom has a king-size bed, and the bathroom features a double-ended bath and rainfall shower.

Cubert
Those looking for a luxury self-catering holiday close to dog-friendly Holywell Bay and Crantock beach need look no further. The charming village of Cubert offers the best of both worlds, as country meets coastal on the rugged north Cornwall coast.

Getting there
- On the map Cubert is on the North Coast of Cornwall between Crantock and Perranporth, just inland from Holywell Bay.
- By car From London, take the M4 towards Bath, the M5 South and the A30 to Cornwall, then follow the directions provided to the property. The journey time is approximately four and a half hours.
- By train The closest train station is Newquay, but a more regular mainline service can be found at Truro and Bodmin (approximately a 25 minute drive).
- By air Newquay airport is approximately 20 minutes drive from Juneberry.

“Inspired by a true countryman who once lived on this spot, Juneberry was designed and created with a ´make do and mend´ ethos. Many of the materials used in the cottage are local or reclaimed, brought back to life with a little bit of love sprinkled on top.”
This handcrafted wooden cabin is on the site of a caravan, which for 40 years was occupied by a true countryman who lived and worked on farms all his life. He lived frugally, recycled everything, and was the master of make do and mend; an ethos we have adopted in the construction of the cabin.
Local larch has been used to clad the wooden frame and much of the material used in the interior has had a previous life, some of it salvaged from the original caravan. Sheep’s wool insulation has been used throughout the building, solar thermal energy heats the water, and we have managed the whole build with minimal disruption to its peaceful surroundings.
There are many ways to spend a day at Juneberry, but our favourite has to be slow and steady, enjoying the space and local area with ease. After mugs of tea and slabs of toasted sourdough slathered with butter and sweet raspberry jam, pack backpacks with towels and head to the golden sands of Holywell Bay, just two miles down the road.
