Data Collection Policy
Unique Home Stays respects the privacy of it's clients and prospective clients. No client information will be disclosed to third parties. Information supplied to Unique Home Stays will only be used for communicating news, offers and developments via our marketing material. Unique Home Stays operates within the guidelines set out by the UK Data Protection Act (1998)
We collect information from you necessary to process your booking or payment. We use "cookies" where required, they do not hold personal information and they expire as appropriate. All booking related data is encrypted as it is entered to our server and stored directly within our database, all card details which you may submit are handled and stored securely by Sagepay, our third party payment processor. We follow PCI DSS guidelines and our servers are regularly scanned in accordance with their requirements to ensure compliance. Any information submitted by you to us is used only within "The Agency" and third parties working on behalf of Unique Home Stays who enable our services to be provided to you.
Security
When taking potentially sensitive information from you, we employ a 128bit SSL3 encryption which secures the transaction from being intercepted. This secure connection is enabled automatically when you enter the secure area of the site where sensitive information is handled (eg. booking form and payments). When this secure connection is activated, you will see the padlock icon (or equivalent) in your web browsers status bar.
