Last Spring, a team of creatives gathered at the South Hams Valley to shoot a Mediterranean-style wedding editorial at The Lost Music Hall. This was dreamed up by floral stylist Sophie of Sophie Flowers Studio and wedding planner and coordinator Jessica of Desirango.
The ochre manor, laced in ivy and tucked within the historic Great Ambrook estate, made for a magnificent backdrop. The shoot brought Mediterranean warmth to The Lost Music Hall's gardens; a swathe of tulle from the bridal veil cascading across the earthy terracotta balcony and tables dripping in olive greens, citrus and the blush of sun-ripened peaches.
Captured by Hannah Wilde Photography, the day moved through its chapters across the venue’s distinct spaces: intimate moments stolen on the sweeping staircase; a ceremony framed by column-like floral installations; a drinks reception with a custom rosé bar by Rosado and an Italian-inspired al fresco feast courtesy of Naughty Nonnas, with the manor’s façade for its backdrop.
Wild florals tumbled from butter yellow linens on a banquet table draped in Maison Margaux and laden with regional pasta dishes and Nonnas’ signature nostalgic desserts. Stationery by Ofelia Botella layered the scene with hand painted, personalised detail. Model Estelle wore Phoebe Crosby bridal with make-up by Nicola Redman and hair by Toni Gogola. The mood was garden party by way of Italian tavolata: generous, nourishing and rich with personality.
The finale: a tiramisu served over the bonnet of an Aston Martin, in place of a traditional cake cutting. An ultimate ode to indulgence.
