This spring marks the 100th anniversary of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, a novel that epitomises the opulence and extravagance of the Jazz Age. What better way to honour this literary milestone than by hosting a soirée in a Gatsby-style setting? Here, we round up five unique party homes across the UK that capture the vivacious spirit of the book. As Nick Carraway reflected on the enduring impression of Gatsby's gatherings, we hope you too will be inspired: "Those gleaming, dazzling parties of his were with me so vividly that I could still hear the music and the laughter, faint and incessant, from his garden."

The Lost Music Hall, Devon

GP3815 - A large music room added in the early 20th century by a London dandy

This Arts and Crafts manor has a history of hosting extravagant events, with a large music room added in the early 20th century by a London dandy who used the estate as his secret retreat. The party spirit still lingers, inviting you to play the baby grand piano or sip cocktails beneath the stars on the expansive terrace. For larger gatherings, there’s the option to hire the owner’s adjacent house with an underground disco room, accommodating up to 100 day guests.

Castle Trematonia, Cornwall

GP3821 - Rooms are embellished inHouse of Hackneyprints and the pool is enveloped by sub-tropical gardens

Of bodacious proportions, Castle Trematonia is a historic home that exudes aristocratic charm and a flair for pleasure-seeking design. Inside, opulent rooms, embellished from top to bottom in House of Hackney prints, set the stage for lavish revelry. Outside, the pool is enveloped by verdant subtropical gardens and faces an ancient Indian pool house where you can shake up Mint Julep cocktails, Daisy Buchanan’s drink of choice.

Honeystone, Suffolk

GP3817 - Inside, sit under chandeliers won at Sothebys and around an Imperial table,

“The estate was owned by a global celebrity, London financier and a fashion photographer that hosted wild hedonistic parties,” Honeystone’s owner tells us. The historic manor’s grounds span five acres, inviting the footloose and fancy-free to dance barefoot in the gardens or take a midnight dip in the pool. Inside, under chandeliers won at Sotheby’s and around an Imperial table, toast the evening with coupes of Champagne.

The Sculptor’s Gardens, Hereforshire

GP3824 - Topiary gardens and a parquet floor laid in the 1920s for dancing the Charleston into the night

The Sculptor's Gardens was once home to the Twinings Tea family during the roaring twenties. Comprised of two properties, they can be rented individually or together, starting with dinner at the romantic Atelier Rose, then moving to the half-timbered longhouse, Hollyhocks, where the parquet floor was laid in the great hall for the Twinings daughter’s wedding. Here, you can dance the Charleston into the night, just as it was intended.

Carnivàle, Isle of Wight

GP3816 - Situated on the Isle of Wight, this waterfront estate has sweeping views and eclectic charm

Situated on the Isle of Wight, Carnivàle is an estate owned by the founders of Bestival – so you could say, partying is in its DNA. Exuding theatrical charm, its interiors hum with vibrant artistic energy, while lush gardens unfold to reveal an open-air kitchen and a heated pool framed by abstract tiling. Dance the night away with a sweeping view of the ocean, mirroring Gatsby’s own waterfront home (look our for the green light).
