In the newest series of the popular Channel 4 travel show, Extraordinary Escapes, presenter Sandi Toksvig is joined by some of the nation’s favourite actors, comedians and television personalities as they journey across Britain and Ireland in search of the most iconic and impressive homes. The series showcases lavish coastal pads, nature-embracing cottages and architect-designed hideaways, including a few of our very own Homestays.
In episode one, we see Sandi and Suzy (Eddie) Izzard on an Irish escape, during which they enjoy the delights of County’s Kerry’s romantic and remote red-roofed Lost Cottage, followed by fishing on the lake and a feast of baked salmon and wine, al fresco. In episode two, Sandi heads to The Lake District with Judi Love where, after a dramatic (and bumpy) tour through the sublime landscape, they experience all the luxuries that showstopping valley hideaway Gaia Farmhouse has to offer. Exploring Wales in episode three, Sandi and her guest Roisin Conaty arrive at the award-winning Seren Mor, making the most of the spectacular waterside position and breathtaking views.
